This Privacy Policy explains how Globy (“we”, “us”,
“our”) processes information in the Globy iOS app.
Who we are
Globy is a mobile app for tracking visited places and trips on iOS.
We don’t run our own backend that stores your personal data. Most data
stays on your device and only selected events are shared with
third-party providers to enable in-app purchases and maps.

Data we process
1) Purchases
& subscriptions (required for paid features)
- What: product identifiers, transaction/receipt
data, subscription status, device/app metadata needed for purchase
validation.
- Source/Processors: Apple
(StoreKit) and Adapty.
- Why: to sell products, validate receipts, restore
purchases, determine your access level, and get aggregate monetization
analytics.
- Where: sent to Apple/Adapty; not stored on our own
servers.
2) Location (only with your
permission)
- What: precise device location needed to build trip
timelines and visited places.
- Processing: stored locally on your
device. Not sent to our servers.
- Geocoding: to convert coordinates ↔︎ place names we
may use Apple (MapKit)
- What: date/time and location metadata of items in
your Photos library (we do not read image
content).
- Why: to suggest trips and visited places.
- Where: processed on device; not uploaded to our
servers.
4) Diagnostics &
crash data (optional, aggregate)
- What: anonymized/aggregated crash and performance
data.
- Source: Apple’s diagnostics.
- Why: to improve stability and features.
We do not sell your data. We do not
collect your name, email, or other contact details unless you contact
us.
How we use data
- Provide and improve app features.
- Enable purchases, validate receipts, restore access.
- Show maps and convert coordinates to place names.
- Communicate important updates (in-app).
Third-party processors
We share data only with providers necessary to operate the app:
Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy and may
store/transfer data outside your country. All network communication uses
HTTPS.
Your choices & controls
- Location: iOS Settings → Privacy & Security →
Location Services → Globy.
- Photos: iOS Settings → Privacy & Security →
Photos → Globy.
- Purchases: manage/cancel in Settings →
Apple ID → Subscriptions.
- Delete on-device data: you can clear all app data
in Settings → Globy → Clear Data (within the app).
- Contact us: for any request about your data: globytravel@gmail.com.
Data retention
- Purchase/subscription records: kept by Apple/Adapty as required to
provide and restore access.
- On-device app data (locations, derived trips): kept until you delete
it or uninstall the app.
- Diagnostics: retained per Apple policies.
Legal bases (EEA/UK)
- Contract: to provide the app and paid content you
request.
- Consent: Location, Photos access.
- Legitimate interests: app security, crash
analytics, and product improvement (aggregate).
You may withdraw consent via iOS settings at any time.
Security
We rely on iOS security features and transmit data to third parties
over HTTPS. No method is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to
protect information.
Children’s privacy
Globy is not directed to children under the age required by local law
(e.g., 13). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If
you believe a child has provided data, contact us to request
deletion.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be
reflected here with a new “Last updated” date.
